Prince Andrew announced Friday he will no longer use his royal titles, including Duke of York, following discussions with King Charles and immediate family members. Royal historians characterize the decision as palace efforts to contain reputational damage, with Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson also relinquishing the Duchess of York title while their daughters retain princess status.
