Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. is experiencing a significant service disruption affecting its mobile app and internet banking platforms, leaving thousands of customers unable to access accounts or complete transactions. The bank confirmed the outage began around 12:42 p.m. Australian Eastern Daylight Time Tuesday, impacting payment processing and intra-day reporting systems across its institutional digital services.
According to ANZ’s official status page, customers using ANZ Transactive Global and ANZ Fileactive are experiencing three critical issues: payments displaying as “in progress” without completing, failed intra-day reporting requests, and an inability to view account details or balances. Technology teams are investigating the cause, but the bank has not provided an estimated resolution time. The outage affects primarily Australia-based services, though some global functions are also degraded. ANZ, Australia’s second-largest bank by assets, has apologized for the inconvenience and directed customers to monitor its status page for updates.
