ARENA backs eight grid scale batteries worth $2.7 billion

Eight grid-scale batteries to store renewable energy will be built across Australia to support the grid and help keep energy prices down, the government-owned Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has announced today.

Energy Minister Chris Bowen said $176 million in conditional funding to the projects.
